Alumni Coordinator
Overall Job Purpose:
- The Alumni Relations Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to the Alumni Manager and plays a key role in implementing the Alumni Engagement Strategy across regions, life stages, and alumni touchpoints.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Coordination and Support
- Coordinate and implement alumni events and manage event logistics, RSVPs, and on-site support in collaboration with the Alumni Manager.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management
- Update alumni records in the Alumni Management System (AMS), support segmentation, and produce basic reports. Ensure data accuracy, compliance with POPIA, and assist with quarterly data audits.
Alumni Communication
- Draft and schedule alumni communications (emails, newsletters, and social-media content) under the direction of the Alumni Manager. Ensure all content aligns with the Alumni Engagement Strategy and brand tone.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Career Services, and Faculties) and external vendors to ensure the smooth delivery of events and campaigns.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare monthly and post-event reports for the Alumni Manager. Capture lessons learned and contributed improvement suggestions for processes and alumni engagement initiatives.
Minimum Educational Requirement:
- Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and Business Administration
- Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business Support is ideal.
Minimum Work Requirement:
- 2-3 years Alumni Relations/ Stakeholder/Client relationship management.
- 2-3 years events coordination experience
- 1-2 years Project Management experience
