In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative, human resources, and organisational support to the smelter care and maintenance team at Wonderkop Smelter
  • Organising and coordinating diaries, meetings, events, and site functions
  • Preparing and managing routine correspondence, reports, presentations, and filing systems in line with compliance standards
  • Assisting with HRD and HR processes including onboarding and offboarding, leave management, time and attendance, and maintaining accurate training records
  • Coordinating training and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory, audit, and legal requirements
  • Acting as the first-line advisor for employee queries relating to HR, administration, or policies
  • Supporting management in communicating and applying company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring process adherence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in administrative and HR/D areas
  • Arranging and managing third-party services, bookings, procurement (using SAP or COUPA), and office supplies
  • Supervising and managing support staff such as cleaners
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations (SafeWork and Fatal Hazard Protocols)

About you:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 (essential)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Administration, Finance, HR, or related field (will be advantageous)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in administration, Finance, HR, or HRD roles, preferably in industrial, plant, or mining environments
  • Experience coordinating and supporting cross-functional teams, and in process and compliance administration
  • Experience with SAP (MM, FI, HR) and COUPA (advantageous)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, COUPA)
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and people management abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of HSECQ, safety legislation, and process improvement principles
