Job Summary

Requirements and Expectations
Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Previous working experience in administration or transport management will serve as an added advantage.
- The disclosure of a valid, unexpired driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.
- Knowledge of clerical functions, administrative practices, and data capturing.
- Understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), financial systems (e.g., PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS), and transport procedures within the public sector.
- Familiarity with administrative procedures and the legislative framework governing public service operations.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office).
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct, accountability, and client-focused service orientation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and ensure compliance with transport management directives, policies, and procedures.
- Process new subsidized vehicle applications and administer them for the Adjudication Committee.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, oversee utilization and maintenance, and process related claims.
- Manage and control the fleet and departmental vehicles, including operational oversight.
- Administer transport invoices and prepare monthly transport reports.
- Ensure quality assurance of log sheets for subsidized vehicles and maintain accurate records and registers.
- Maintain an efficient filing system and tracking mechanisms for transport documentation.
- Liaise with service providers and the regional office on transport management issues.
- Provide advisory support to officials and management on transport-related matters.
- Handle accident reports and assist with the coordination of transport meetings.
- Perform driver duties and other administrative support tasks when required.
