Purpose of Position:

• To provide a diagnostic anatomical pathology / histopathology consultative service to referring clinicians. Assist in the management and supervision of the daily activities of the anatomical pathology laboratories.

Requirements:

• FC Path(SA), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, MBChB, M Med (Pathology)

Required Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise Clients on life threatening results, Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories
• Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Marketing, Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory
• Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise
• Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service: Consultation with doctors
• Control and monitoring of results, Result verification, Reporting
• Participation in Peer Group, Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
