Content Director- Internal Communications

What you’ll do

Strategic leadership

  • Develop and implement innovative content strategies and campaigns that deliver measurable impact for our internal communications clients
  • Drive cluster growth by expanding existing client relationships and securing new business opportunities
  • Identify and execute strategic collaboration opportunities within the Advertising & Content
  • Marketing cluster and across Media24 divisions
  • Pioneer “inside-out” communication approaches that align employee and customer messaging for maximum business impact
  • Regularly review and refine cluster strategy to anticipate market trends and client needs

Client partnership

  • Cultivate strategic client relationships built on trust, expertise, and consistent editorial and creative excellence
  • Develop deep understanding of client businesses to provide content solutions that address core challenges
  • Collaborate with brand teams to implement robust reporting routines and conduct strategic content reviews
  • Proactively gather client feedback to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Lead RFP responses, strategic pitches, and new business proposals that showcase our unique value proposition

Operational excellence

  • Oversee content operations to ensure production efficiency, quality standards, and resource optimisation
  • Implement appropriate delegation frameworks that empower team decision-making while maintaining quality
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate governance standards
  • Provide strategic reporting to senior leadership to support organisational decision-making
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to monitor performance against budget and strategic objectives

Team leadership

  • Build and develop a high-performing team of internal communications content specialists
  • Implement effective performance management systems that drive accountability and growth
  • Create a positive, collaborative work culture that embodies Media24’s values
  • Mentor team members to develop their expertise and career progression
  • Establish and maintain relationships with specialised freelancers and suppliers to enhance delivery capabilities

Thought leadership

  • Position Media24 as an authority in internal communications through content creation, speaking engagements, and industry participation
  • Stay at the forefront of internal communications trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Represent the cluster at industry events to build visibility and credibility
  • Drive integrated marketing solutions that deliver consistent messaging across employee and customer touchpoints

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent in Journalism, media or related field
  • Proven experience developing and implementing successful internal communications content strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire creative teams and drive performance
  • Exceptional client relationship management capabilities
  • Strategic thinking combined with practical implementation skills
  • In-depth understanding of contemporary internal communications challenges and solutions
  • Business acumen with a focus on growth and profitability
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
