Applications Manager
Our Talent Team is currently looking for an experienced, Applications Manager to join our IT Team. The role will be based in Westville and report to the IT Executive.
The Application Manager’s role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the systems to support the Human Resources function within RCL Foods. They will partner with key stakeholders in the business to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for HR aligned with the business objectives
Minimum Requirements
- 3-year degree in IT or Business Management or Human Resources
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR / Human Capital Management systems with a proven track record in implementing new business systems and process optimization.
Knowledge & Experience
- Good technical knowledge of Human Capital Management systems such as SAP with proven track record of successful implementations and support in the following modules required:
- Human Capital Management
- Payroll
- Time and Attendance systems
- Employee productivity covering Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Teams.
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Duties & Responsibilities
Applications Management
Manages the systems that support the Human Resource function and modern worker capability in the organization . This entails:
- Management of the project portfolio of IT programs and services to meet demand and business priorities within funding and resource constraints.
- Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of business requirements.
- Overseeing the planning, design and development of system capability.
- Ensure changes are thoroughly tested and approved by system owners before implementation.
- Application Maintenance – manage the constant improvements and changes to the applications.
- Ensures support services and training provided to users and the necessary incident and problem management processes are followed by the team.
Business Analysis
- Partner with the business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate into IT requirements and roadmaps. This entails designing business processes and defining system requirements for the Human Resource function in the business
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and personal productivity using some of the Microsoft Office Tecnology stack.
- Translates IT strategy into implementation plans, aligning proposed projects with functional SIA (strategy into action).
- Develop business case justifications for IT investment.
- Keeps abreast of new technologies and propose new technology solutions to address business requirements.
Relationship Management
- Evaluate potential and existing IT partners and manage relationships with key partners and suppliers.
- Builds credibility with customers and achieves the status of trusted advisor.
- Communicates the status and progress of IT initiatives, policies and possibilities.
Human Capital Management
- Oversees a team of individuals and contractors ensuring that service delivery and performance is optimized.
- Manages talent planning and development within the team.
- Drive a high-performance culture built on RCL FOODS Values, in particular MORE Curious, Accountable, Agile & Collaborative.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets to optimise business value
- Manage costs to ensure the optimal utilization of assets and budgets.
- Report to manager on a regular basis on actual KPI’s versus budget.
- Authorizes expenses within level of authority and monitor spending activity to ensure compliance.
Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Continually identify, assess, and reduce risk within levels of tolerance set by the business.
- Set and monitor applicable internal controls.
- Compliance Management – ensure RCL systems and processes have implemented relevant policies with respect to Information security and data governance.
