Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the area of accountability, in line with dealer standards.
  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures and guidelines within the area of accountability.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and guidelines within the area of accountability.
  • Ensure that occupational health & safety standards are adhered to by all delegates during practical training.
  • Ensure that the training facility is properly maintained, training equipment are in working order and kept safe.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management and process owners.
  • Facilitate assessments (writing and practical) according to predetermined lesson frameworks to ensure assessments of learners by conducting pre and post learning interventions.
  • Facilitate learning according to predetermined lesson frameworks and engage learners in an interactive learning methodology to enhance learning capabilities.
  • Identify and develop solutions to improve operational service and quality and escalate unresolved issues to management and process owners. (Where applicable)
  • Identify and develop training solutions to improve operational service and quality.
  • Identify training and development requirements and ensure relevant training materials are updated accordingly.
  • Interact with training specialists, line managers and business stakeholders, to effectively identify optimal learning solutions, content and platforms.
  • Invigilate assessments, prepare reports of test results and forward the outcomes to the relevant stakeholders for further actioning.
  • Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Oversee the upkeep and order of the operational enviroment and the control of the facilities, tools, vehicles and equipment to ensure service delivery.
  • Prepare training delivery reports to keep record of training initiatives and results.
  • Provide support to manager and ensure availability of refreshments to trainees.
  • Report on transactional and process activities to enable timely and effective decision making.
  • Update relevant information and complete all learner administration activities to ensure compliance to requirements, processes/procedures and systems e.g. DDMS, LMS and any other training related systems.
  • Stays abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in the training field and Implementing new training material to drive futuristic concepts.
  • Remains current on hazardous material regulations and communicates this information to employees.
  • Develop and implements training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational material.
  • Maintains training records and documents within the shared folder/provided system, for 5 years.
  • Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by local colleges, technical/vocational schools, manufacturers, and trade associations.
  • Manage training delivery as per the training calendar, carryout assessment & follow up.
  • Assess the trainees knowledge & identify skill gaps & prepare skill mapping, ensuring that current KPI targets are met/retained.
  • Support training manager with relevant monthly reporting for submission to senior management.
  • Devise initiatives and corrective actions to improve the quality of training delivered.
  • Assist with planning and deliver a monitoring system to validate the training programmes in order to achieve Mersita accreditation.
  • Play supportive role in achieving MAN days target on an annual bases.
  • Play supportive role to training manager in achieving all business plan training targets on an annual bases.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Complies with relevant Human Capital legislation, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
  • Carries out human capital practices, processes and transactions in accordance with legal, regulatory requirements and
  • Displays a clear understanding of the processes and procedures involved in legal compliance in a human capital
  • Demonstrates insight into the regulatory parameters that apply to human capital policy and practice. Is aware of industry standards and professional codes that impact on human capital policies and practices and the implications for non-compliance.
  • Understands the issues relating to professional, industry and legal compliance. In the case of team leaders and/or managers, discusses issues of compliance with the human capital team.
  • Develops good practice guidelines in regard to compliance with legal, industry and professional standards.
  • Regularly monitors and responds to incidences of non-compliance
