POSITION SUMMARY
- The Health Project Coordinator will be responsible for end-to-end coordination of regional health programs, ensuring timely execution of tasks, cross-functional alignment, and strict adherence to reporting and quality standards. The selected candidate will contribute scientifically and manage work streams across multi-country projects.
- This is a volunteer position intended for professionals who are disciplined, accountable, and performance-driven. Casual involvement will not be accepted. Applicants must be prepared to meet defined deliverables and uphold professional standards throughout the engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the coordination and quality control of multi-country public health projects, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, deliverables, compliance protocols, and project documentation standards across internal and external stakeholders.
- Review, format, and manage high-quality scientific content, including technical reports, reimbursement submissions, research summaries, slide decks, abstracts, and manuscripts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, proper referencing, and alignment with requirements.
- Support stakeholder and client engagement, including scheduling, meeting coordination, professional correspondence, preparation of status reports, and liaising with healthcare professionals, compliance officers, and external vendors for seamless execution.
- Oversee cross-functional project systems, including the use of digital tools (e.g. Trello, Google Workspace) for task management, budgeting, invoicing support, proposal tracking, compliance documentation, and the development of planning resources to enhance team productivity.
- Conduct evidence synthesis and data extraction from literature, support the integration of relevant findings into scientific deliverables, collaborate with analysts and creative teams to develop visuals and reports, and ensure all outputs are informed by up-to-date industry guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Academic Background
- Bachelor’s degree in global/public health, international development, or related discipline
Professional Experience
- Proven exposure to donor-funded initiatives with structured reporting obligations
- Demonstrated involvement in regional or multi-country program delivery
Language and Communication
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory
Technical and Interpersonal Skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and digital work environments
- Emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and proven ability to work in multicultural teams
- High level of personal accountability and professional conduct
