In this role, you will capture, curate, and maintain high‑quality video assets that showcase the impact of our education, health, and shelter programs. You’ll work closely with program leads to plan shoots, edit compelling stories, and manage our digital archive—gaining valuable experience in a purpose‑driven non‑profit environment.

Job type: Full‑time (NYSC Service Year)

Key Responsibilities

Video Capture & Editing:

  • Film interviews, events, outreach activities, and day‑to‑day moments across our programs.
  • Edit footage—trim clips, add captions, assemble sequences—using Premiere Pro or similar tools.

Content Curation & Organization:

  • Review raw footage and select the strongest clips for campaigns and social media.
  • Tag, catalog, and maintain a cloud‑based library of video assets for easy retrieval.

Social Media & Digital Support:

  • Prepare short clips, teasers, and behind‑the‑scenes reels for Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
  • Schedule and publish video content according to the editorial calendar.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work with communications and program teams to ensure each video aligns with campaign themes.
  • Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions.

Quality & Consistency:

  • Ensure all footage meets technical standards (clear audio, steady framing, proper lighting).
  • Apply consistent naming conventions and metadata for all files.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • NYSC‑eligible graduate; Bachelor’s degree in Film, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field preferred
  • Strong interest in video storytelling and social impact
  • Hands‑on experience (academic or personal projects) with camera operation and basic editing
  • Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) and cloud storage platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox)
  • Good communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to field environments
  • Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) are a plus

Measures of Success

  • Content Library: 100% of recorded footage tagged and archived within 48 hours.
  • Video Output: Deliver at least 6 short-form videos (30–60 sec) and 2 longer features (2–3 min) per month.
  • Engagement: Support a 10% month‑over‑month increase in video views and shares across social channels.
  • Quality Standards: Achieve 90% positive feedback on technical and storytelling aspects from stakeholders.
  • Data‑Driven Improvement: Implement at least 3 data‑driven optimizations per quarter to refine content strategy and production quality.
