Main tasks and responsibilities:

As a Loan Officer, you will play a vital role in managing client relationships and ensuring the quality of our credit portfolio. 

• Creating and managing your own loan portfolio, ensuring high performance and growth.
• Conducting direct promotions, field marketing, and client engagement activities regularly.
• Screening prospects for eligibility, opening loan applications, and arranging appointments with clients.
• Conducting thorough loan analyses, including visiting clients’ businesses and households, engaging with guarantors, and preparing complete loan assessments in line with the Bank’s credit procedures.
• Presenting loan proposals to the credit committee and communicating outcomes clearly to clients.
• Coordinating loan disbursements in collaboration with the Quality Control unit.
• Monitoring loan repayments using the Bank’s software (myMBS), and ensuring timely follow-up with clients and guarantors.
• Ensuring punctual repayments and maintaining high-quality credit portfolio standards.
• Actively participating in team discussions and committees, contributing ideas for improvement, and aligning personal goals with the Bank’s mission.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for vibrant, ambitious, and hardworking individuals with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Minimum educational qualification of B.Sc./HND in any discipline.
• Minimum one year of post-NYSC experience in sales, credit, or financial services.
• Basic knowledge of financial mathematics and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and mobile apps.
• Target-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and good team spirit.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working outdoors.
• Strong passion for supporting micro and small businesses through financial inclusion.
