Technical Sales Personnel
THE ROLE OVERVIEW
To drive business growth by combining deep technical knowledge with strong sales acumen to promote, demonstrate, and sell all range of power products to meet customer needs and business targets. The objective is to understand customer needs at all levels (retailers, end users, corporate customers etc.) so as to provide tailored solutions, and support the sales process from initial contact to post-sale support, while ensuring customer satisfaction and the right long-term relationships are built.
The Technical Sales Personnel must have and continuously seek deep product knowledge and often assist customers in designing or selecting the right solutions through professional engagement at all communication channels of the company (Service Centre, Social Media Platforms, Branding activities). All channels must be engaged to ensure the right messages are communicated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with company objectives across the country;
- Engage with customers, including the digital operators and others, to understand their needs and requirements; and propose organization’s products and on-boarding activities;
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, demos, and proposals;
- Negotiate sales contracts and ensure timely deal closure;
- Collaborate with technical teams for pre-sales, products’ design and development, and after-sales support;
- Conduct customer surveys, collate data, and recommend solutions in line with insights obtained from such surveys;
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline reports;
- Stay up to date with product features, industry trends, and competitor offerings and activities;
- Provide feedback from customers to management for product and process improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of national monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Number of new clients acquired.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rate measured by increase in order and repeat business
- Timeliness and quality of reports submitted.
- Accuracy of technical proposals and solutions delivered.
- Contribution to overall revenue growth of the company.
Qualifications & Skills
- Good First Degree from relevant field,
- Demonstrated experience in Technical Sales or related role,
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and customer-service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; and similar suite – CDR, etc.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and communication
- Ability to start and finish projects in line with objectives
- Ability to travel on short notice
