Job Summary

The Technical Assistant will directly support the Managing Director by handling technical and project coordination tasks. This position is ideal for a motivated Engineer and a desire to gain hands-on experience in the Engineering industry.

She will liaise with senior management, departmental heads, and regulatory officials on behalf of the Managing Director on selected issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the MD on various projects.
• Assist in preparing project reports, proposals, and documentation for presentations.
• Attend meetings with or on behalf of the MD and follow up on the raised issues/points of action from those meetings until they have been satisfactorily closed out.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion and efficient project management.
• Research industry trends, project data, and new technologies to aid strategic decision-making.
• Work with the PA to the MD to ensure that the MD’s schedule of activities is fully coordinated and aligned to ensure optimal utilization of the MD’s time and resources.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the MD.

Qualifications

• First degree in relevant engineering field with at least three (3) years’ experience in the oil and gas services industry.
• Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
• Experience in developing, monitoring and reviewing oil and gas facility project Engineering issues arising from contract execution.
• Ability to take decision with lots of initiatives.
• Extensive knowledge of relationship management skills with oral communication skills.
• Pleasant disposition to work.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Good presentation and negotiation skills.
