Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons following the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and school improvement initiatives.
- Support students with additional learning needs or extension opportunities.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programmes as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other administrative tasks.
- Uphold the school’s policies and ethos on discipline, safeguarding, and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) (preferred).
- Experience teaching at the IGCSE/secondary level (minimum 5 years desirable).
- Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) specifications.
