THE JOURNEY

  • Market Launch Playbook: Own and execute the end-to-end operational launch plan for new cities, from market assessment to going live.
  • Initial Fleet Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to build the initial courier fleet from scratch in new territories, managing everything from lead generation to the first wave of successful onboardings.
  • Foundational Operations Setup: Establish the initial operational infrastructure in new cities, including setting up temporary onboarding hubs and defining baseline processes for local courier support.
  • On-the-Ground Execution: Spend significant time in new launch cities, overseeing all launch activities, solving problems as they arise, and adapting our model to the unique challenges of the local environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other central teams to ensure a coordinated and successful market entry.
  • Work together with the Head Of Operations: and the functional heads to define winning sales, growth and operations strategies for your cities, and own its implementation end to end.
  • Lead an ad-hoc team: in charge of launching new cities and driving them to success in record time, having a direct impact on Glovo’s expansion agenda in Nigeria

Reporting: Compile and deliver comprehensive reports on launch progress, key learnings, and performance against targets for senior leadership

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in consulting / business development / start-up or similar.
  • Previous experience managing small teams is a plus.
  • You are very hard working and can prove a strong track record of excellent performance.

    • You have a scrappy attitude, are comfortable working with limited resources under tight deadlines, thrive in an unknown environment and you’re not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty.

    • Immerse and network: Expansion travels often to have a full local knowledge of their cities. You should be able to immerse yourself in any environment, network extensively and map the city out in a few days
