Storekeeper
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment for railway operations and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts to ensure availability and prevent shortages.
- Issue materials and equipment to maintenance, operations, and project teams in a timely manner.
- Organize store layout for efficient space utilization and easy retrieval of items.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is required.
- Prepare regular reports on stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Support audits, inspections, and implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP).
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Sc /HND in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in stores or warehouse operations.
- Proficient in inventory management, stock control, and record-keeping.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP/WMS systems).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Experience handling technical materials, spare parts, or heavy equipment is an advantage.
