Job Overview:

• We are looking for a reliable and organized Store Keeper to manage our construction site inventory.
• The Store Keeper will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment, ensuring that supplies are available for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity against purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Organize and store materials safely and accessibly.

Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain inventory records, delivery logs, and reports.
• Document all material receipts and disbursements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely procurement of materials.

Material Distribution:

• Issue materials to workers and subcontractors as requested, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor and control material usage on site to minimize wastage.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that the storage area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Implement safety protocols for material handling and storage.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the project management team to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
• Assist in planning and forecasting inventory requirements for upcoming phases of the project.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus.
• Previous experience as a storekeeper or in inventory management, preferably in a construction environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify various building materials, such as plumbing supplies, electrical components, cables, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions on a construction site.
