Spare Parts Officer
About the Role
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Spare Parts Officer to manage our spare parts inventory, ensure timely procurement, and maintain optimal stock levels for smooth operational efficiency.
- The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of vehicle components, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control spare parts inventory and stock levels.
- Identify and order necessary parts to support maintenance and repair operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all parts received, issued, and returned.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in forecasting spare parts requirements based on usage and service schedules.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of parts for easy retrieval.
Requirements
- OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in spare parts management (automotive, transport, or logistics industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and components.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Prepare reports on parts usage, costs, and availability.
