About the Role

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Spare Parts Officer to manage our spare parts inventory, ensure timely procurement, and maintain optimal stock levels for smooth operational efficiency.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of vehicle components, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control spare parts inventory and stock levels.
  • Identify and order necessary parts to support maintenance and repair operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts received, issued, and returned.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist in forecasting spare parts requirements based on usage and service schedules.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of parts for easy retrieval.

Requirements

  • OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in spare parts management (automotive, transport, or logistics industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Prepare reports on parts usage, costs, and availability.
