Site Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned by your line manager.
  • Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
  • Preparing cost estimates and ensuringappropriate materials and tools are available.
  • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement onparticular projects.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment asrequired.
  • Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
  • Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
  • Compile and present reports explaining project details to non-technical stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standards
  • Direct engineering activities; assign tasks, provide training and support.
  • Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction, Building, or a related field with 4 – 7 years of experience in either an engineering consultancy or engineering construction environment.
  • Engineering license Is an added advantage
  • Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software
  • Considerable experience in similar position
