Job Summary

  • The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment in the steel plant.
  • This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, designing, and improving mechanical processes related to steel manufacturing, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and enhancing operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Supervise the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment including rolling mills, conveyors, hydraulic systems, furnaces, cranes, pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.
  • Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize machine uptime.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or steel plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics.
  • Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced industrial environment.
