Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, detailed cost estimates during all phases of project development, from feasibility through to construction
• Benchmark costs against industry standards and previous project data to improve estimating accuracy
• Work closely with design, engineering and planning teams to ensure estimates reflect current design, intent and scope
• Establish and maintain project budgets, ensuring all costs are properly allocated and tracked
• Implement a robust control system to monitor actual vs. budgeted costs in real time.
• Assist the Project Managers in setting budgetary constraints and ensuring scope aligns with financial limits
• Identify cost overrun early and propose mitigation strategies
• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and lifecycle financial forecasts for all active and planned construction projects
• Collaborate with finance, procurement and project delivery teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies
• Monitor trends in material and labour markets to update cost forecasts accordingly
• Identify commercial risks and potential cost impacts across projects.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
