Senior Offshore Construction Coordinator

Your Mission:

  • As our Senior Offshore Construction Coordinator, you will be the paramount Company Representative onsite, entrusted with the leadership and oversight of all construction activities. Your primary mission is to ensure the flawless execution of projects, champion an Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) culture, and guarantee that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety recognized worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Operational Leadership: Act as the ultimate safety champion, entrenching a culture of operational discipline. Promote psychological safety, empower teams to utilize Stop Work Authority (SWA), and ensure strict adherence to global safety protocols, procedures, and values.
  • Strategic Oversight: Provide expert oversight for multi-disciplinary construction crews executing both routine and emergency maintenance on complex offshore oil and gas production facilities.
  • Contract & Quality Governance: Ensure strict contractor compliance with all contract specifications and international standards. Review and approve QA/QC packages, as-built documentation, and ensure the qualification of welding procedures and personnel aligns with global best practices (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Team Management & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of inspectors and craft personnel. Ensure your team possesses a comprehensive understanding of all contract documents, approved-for-construction drawings, and latest revisions.
  • Project Execution: Contribute to the development and review of work execution plans. Provide daily progress reports to project management and offer expert construction technical support to engineers and supervisors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively preside over and contribute to key project meetings, including bid walks, kick-off meetings, and contractor technical bid evaluations.

Who We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of an HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of continuous and demonstrable experience in offshore oil & gas construction, including pipelay and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • A proven, exemplary track record as a safety leader on offshore facilities.
  • Certified or demonstrated capability in providing welding & fabrication QA/QC oversight.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of working at heights, scaffold installation, and electronic Permit-to-Work (ePTW) systems.
  • Proficiency in identifying key oil & gas materials (valves, pumps, compressors, vessels) and a basic understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems, and their associated hazards.
  • Working knowledge of offshore marine vessel operations (AHTs, DSVs, SEWOPS, Crane Vessels) and an understanding of offshore diving hazards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  • Unwavering Integrity and the ability to represent the company with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Superb Communication & Leadership skills, capable of leading diverse, multicultural teams and engaging effectively with all stakeholders, from frontline crews to senior management.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving abilities to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions in a high-stakes environment.
  • A Global Mindset, with an understanding of international standards and a respect for diverse work practices.

What We Offer:

  • A truly global career opportunity with a industry-leading organization.
  • A competitive, world-class compensation and benefits package tailored to international standards.
  • The opportunity to work on cut-edge, large-scale offshore projects that define the industry.
  • A company culture that is deeply committed to safety, innovation, and the professional development of its employees.
  • A challenging role where your expertise will be valued and your leadership will make a tangible difference.
