Key Responsibilities

• Payroll & Compliance: Manage payroll for employees, ensuring monthly PAYE filing and remittances, pension contributions, and adherence to Nigerian tax laws.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in line with regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Work with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Tax Management: Handle Nigerian tax obligations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT) and ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal/external audits, provide documentation, and implement recommendations.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MSC is highly regarded
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) — desirable.
• 4—7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a real estate industry, mid-scale business/start-up environment.
• Proven experience with Nigerian tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT).
• Experience setting up and managing pension contributions (PenCom registration & monthly remittance).
