Sales & Partnerships Associate at the People Practice
Sales & Partnerships Associate
Our client, a leading all-in-one fraud and compliance platform for financial institutions and fintech, is looking for a sharp, driven, and coachable Sales & Partnerships Associate to join the team, a fast-growing B2B SaaS platform helping financial institutions fight fraud and comply with regulations in Africa.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in client-facing roles (banking, consulting, agency account management, business development, etc.) and is now looking to build a career in tech sales. You’ll be at the heart of our sales journey – engaging with prospective clients after product demos, addressing their concerns, and ensuring deals keep moving forward. You don’t need to have prior SaaS or compliance experience; we’ll train you and give you the tools to succeed.
Responsibilities
1. Post-Demo Engagement
- Follow up with prospects after demos to keep them warm, engaged, and moving through the pipeline.
- Craft clear, personalized follow-up messages via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
- Track all touchpoints in the CRM and flag opportunities for escalation
2. Pipeline Progression
- Monitor deal activity and spot where prospects are stuck.
- Re-engage with stakeholders, schedule follow-ups, and help close information gaps.
- Coordinate next steps with the CEO and Sales Lead to ensure smooth transitions.
3. Handling Questions and Concerns
- Address early-stage questions and objections using helpful insights and supporting materials.
- Identify buyer needs and timelines to qualify how serious they are.
- Make sure we’re speaking to all the right people on the client side.
4. Coordination and Scheduling
- Book follow-up calls, deep-dive sessions, and decision-making meetings.
- Keep all action points organized and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
5. Improving Our Sales Process
- Review what works and doesn’t in our follow-ups — and suggest improvements.
- Help refine CRM workflows and improve overall sales team efficiency.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales, client service, business development, or engagement role.
- Experience working with enterprise or high-value clients is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (like Pipedrive, HubSpot, or Salesforce) or willingness to learn.
- Bonus if you’ve worked in sectors like banking, consulting, marketing/communications, or tech-enabled services.
Must have skills
- Strong relationship-building and people skills.
- Curious and confident — not afraid to ask questions or follow up persistently.
- Self-driven but collaborative — you’ll work closely with the CEO and other sales leaders.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Excellent communication skills — written and spoken — with the ability to follow up professionally and clearly.
- Comfortable using digital tools and learning fast on the job.
