Job Summary
- The company is seeking to hire a resourceful Sales & Distribution Lead whose responsibilities are to coordinate day-to-day commercial and distribution workflows, optimise sales processes, and drive execution excellence across all channels.
- This role is critical to ensuring seamless collaboration across teams, maintaining operational readiness in the field, and supporting the organisation’s nationwide growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets across B2B and B2C segments.
- Identify and onboard distributors, wholesale partners, and retail outlets to expand product reach.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team with KPIs tied to territory, volume, and value.
- Design and manage route-to-market plans and territory coverage models.
- Build relationships with key wholesale and retail clients and ensure service excellence.
- Track sales performance, generate dashboards, and provide insights to improve conversion and retention.
- Coordinate warehouse-to-customer product movement, ensuring timely delivery and order fulfilment.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute in-store activations, promotions, and product visibility initiatives.
- Ensure pricing, payment terms, and distribution practices are aligned with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets across all regions and channels.
- Effective expansion of distributor and retail networks in new and existing markets.
- Product availability and visibility in key wholesale and retail outlets.
- Reduction in stockouts and delivery turnaround times.
- Sales team productivity and retention.
- Accurate sales forecasting and territory penetration.
- Strong customer and partner satisfaction ratings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales and distribution with a track record of managing both wholesale and retail channels.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of Nigeria’s FMCG distribution landscape.
- Proficiency in CRM/sales tracking tools and MS Office.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
- A systems thinker with a hands-on attitude.
- Self-driven and accountable.
- Organized, efficient, and curious.
- Able to communicate clearly and act decisively.
