Resident Project Manager (Rotating Equipment)
- The Resident Project Manager – External role in Lagos involves coordinating resources for project planning and execution, engaging with customers, and managing relationships with collaborators.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the seamless planning and execution of projects. This includes clarifying and consulting with customers on targets and requirements to provide technical solutions.
- Responsible for monitoring milestones and adherence to budgets and schedules, initiating actions to minimize non-conformance costs and creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
- Manage relationship with customers and all internal and external project stakeholders
- Perform ongoing risk management during projects to identify and mitigate risks
- Ensure adherence to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g. Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS)
- The position requires the Resident Project Manager to work in the customer location in Lagos.
- The Resident Project Manager will be responsible for material; job & outage planning activities related to the scope of the contract.
- He / She will be required to support the Execution Team in management of spares, tools, and consumables for routine, planned, corrective work and unplanned outages.
- Understands Company process for outage planning and ability to drive compliance with outage planning milestones
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of Rotating Equipment (Turbines, Compressors, etc.) hardware – instrumentation, controls & mechanical
- Proficient use of CMMS – SAP system
- Specialty in inventory management for controls, electrical, instrumentation & mechanical
- Proficient use of Microsoft office tools, Microsoft Project, and Primavera planning tools
- Competence regarding gas turbine compressor package operation and design
Your profile
- 3 – 5 years Project Management experience
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business judgment to be capable and willing to escalate issues when required.
- Must be goal oriented, comfortable working in diverse teams, and experienced in managing multiple tasks.
