Regional Channel Promotion Specialist
Responsibilities
Market Promotion Execution
- Plan and execute localized promotional activities (e.g., product roadshows, in-store promotions, community experience events) tailored to African market characteristics (e.g., climate needs, consumer habits).
- Manage point-of-sale materials (POSM) and brand image to ensure standardized retail displays and improve consumer conversion rates.
Sales Target Support
- Break down regional sales targets by channel level, monitor sales data, and develop dynamic adjustment strategies. Provide marketing resources to ensure quarterly/annual channel goals are met in key markets.
- Collaborate with distributor teams on training and incentives to enhance channel sales capabilities and loyalty.
Competitor & Market Intelligence
- Conduct store visits to research the competitive landscape of Africa’s AC market (e.g., brand pricing, channel policies). Generate analytical reports and provide feedback to product & marketing teams to support differentiated strategy formulation.
Channel Development & Management
- Assist the regional product manager in developing and negotiating long-term partnerships with home AC distribution channels (distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, etc.) to improve channel coverage and sales penetration.
- Support the development of channel tiering strategies, optimize existing structures, and focus on high-potential partners (e.g., building material chains, appliance retailers, engineering contractors).
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, International Trade, or related fields.
Experience:
- Interest and familiarity with the home appliance/consumer electronics channel; local students or candidates with African market experience are preferred.
- Interest and understanding of AC product technical features and distribution models (e.g., B2B2C, project sales).
Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and distributor relationship management experience.
- Willingness to travel frequently (covering multiple African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa) and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluent in English (French/Portuguese is a plus); proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI).
- Personal Traits: Results-driven, resilient, and skilled at business development in resource-constrained markets.
