This role is crucial to ensuring we deliver a seamless, reliable experience to our users at every touchpoint.We’re looking for a QA Software Engineer who is passionate about quality and automation. Your role will be to ensure that every release is stable, secure, and user-friendly. You’ll work closely with software engineers and product managers to define test strategies, write automated tests, and identify bugs before they reach our users. If you have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy thinking through every possible scenario, this role is made for you.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Quality AssuranceDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features, enhancements, and bug fixesPerform manual and automated testing across web and mobile platformsIdentify, document, and track bugs and inconsistenciesAutomation & Process ImprovementWrite and maintain automated test scripts for critical user flowsSuggest improvements to QA processes and tools to ensure faster, more reliable testingCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with developers during sprint planning and code reviews to ensure test coverageWork closely with the Product team to clarify requirements and edge casesCommunicate testing outcomes and risks clearly and promptlyPerformance & Regression TestingConduct performance, stress, and regression testing for major releasesEnsure backwards compatibility and consistent performance across updatesProduct Knowledge & Customer ExperienceUnderstand the customer journey and anticipate common issuesTest with empathy to simulate real-world usage and user behaviorKey Success Metrics:Your performance will be measured by:Bug Detection Rate – Percentage of critical issues caught before productionTest Coverage – Breadth of manual and automated test scenariosRelease Quality – Reduction in post-release bugs and customer-reported issuesDeployment Velocity – Impact of QA on faster, safer releasesRequirementsQualifications & Experience3+ years of experience in QA Engineering, preferably in a fast-paced tech environmentStrong experience with automated testing tools and frameworks- especially playwright and pytestFamiliarity with API testing, mobile testing, and cross-browser compatibilityAbility to write clear bug reports and detailed documentationExperience with CI/CD pipelines and release management practicesExperience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js and Django/Python.Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a user-first mindsetBenefitsWhy Join Us?Be part of a fast-growing company that is transforming business communication in Africa.Work in a high-performance, collaborative environment where data-driven decision-making is key.Competitive salary with opportunities for growth and leadership.If you are excited about ensuring products are stable, then we’d love to hear from you.Only shortlisted candidates will be shortlisted
