Job Summary
- Fitlife Café is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Team Member to join our vibrant health-focused café.
- This role involves preparing fresh food and beverages, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and ensuring timely and accurate service to both walk-in customers and corporate clients.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthy living, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Delivery:
- Arrive punctually by 6:00 AM daily.
- Prepare assigned quantities of products for corporate clients (Exxon & Total) and ensure delivery by 7:00 AM.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor freshness of produce and prioritize ripest items for daily use.
- Record and report spoilage with justification via team WhatsApp group.
- Notify management of low stock levels—2 weeks ahead for imported items and proactively for local items.
Cleanliness & Hygiene:
- Wear face masks and head coverings during all production activities.
- Clean all surfaces, appliances, and equipment daily.
- Participate in deep cleaning routines including ovens, cupboards, grills, and blenders.
Order Fulfillment:
- Ensure all customer orders are completed within 15 minutes.
- Follow internal order handling procedures from cashier to customer.
- Accurately record production in the register and support cashier reconciliation.
Customer Service:
- Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- Answer calls using the approved greeting:“Good Day Sir/Ma, this is FitLife Café, my name is [Your Name], how can we serve you today?”
- Escalate customer complaints promptly to management.
End-of-Day Duties:
- Begin closing procedures by 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM close.
- Participate in physical inventory count and reconcile with cashier reports.
- Clean café and secure recipe book, and lockers.
Working Hours & Flexibility:
- Standard Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
- Flexibility Required: May include extended hours, overtime shifts based on business needs.
- Breaks: As scheduled by management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Senior School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
- Prior experience in food production, restaurant, or hospitality settings is an added advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Must reside within the Lekki axis for easy commute and punctuality.
Conduct Expectations:
- Maintain professionalism—no loud conversations or inappropriate relationships.
- Uphold the café’s refined brand image in interactions with gym members and instructors.
- Report any misconduct or insubordination immediately.
