Procurement Officer– FMCG Ibadan

We are looking to hire a results-driven procurement professional looking to make a significant impact in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team and manage the end-to-end purchasing process. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Procurement Officer, you will be crucial in ensuring a seamless flow of materials and services. Your core duties will include:

  • End-to-End Procurement: Completing the full procurement cycle, including preparing Purchase Requisitions (PRs), obtaining and uploading vendor quotations for approval, and converting PRs to Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Logistics & Inventory: Coordinating Goods Received Notes (GRN) with the company store, managing file uploads related to received materials and PO payments, and tracking inventory levels.
  • Supplier Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, reviewing proposals and invoices, and attending vendor meetings as required.
  • Process Management: Tracking and scheduling all materials, equipment, and personnel purchase orders, opening new accounts when necessary, and developing/maintaining inventory control procedures.
  • Coordination: Coordinating with staff, operations, architects, and engineers to ensure materials, equipment, and services are available when needed.
  • Compliance: Demonstrating good knowledge of regulatory requirements like NAFDAC, PAAR, SONCAP, Form M, and Custom clearance.
  • Financial Follow-up: Following up with the Finance department on all PO payments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–4 years of cognate experience in a Procurement role, preferably within the FMCG or a related industry.
  • Proven knowledge of the complete procurement process.
  • Familiarity with spare parts in both the local and OEM markets.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills and vendor management expertise.
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding Organizational and Coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders (end-users, contractors).
  • High level of Customer Service and communication ability.
  • Good Market Knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • In-depth Knowledge of the Procurement Process
