Job Summary
- The Principal Consultant is a senior-level professional responsible for leading complex client engagements, delivering strategic solutions, and driving business development initiatives. This role combines deep subject matter expertise with leadership and client management skills. The Principal Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients and plays a key role in shaping the firm’s consulting methodologies, mentoring team members, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-impact consulting projects from planning through execution and delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Analyze complex business challenges and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Oversee the development of strategies, frameworks, reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure high-quality project deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Provide thought leadership and stay current on industry trends, methodologies, and technologies.
- Guide and mentor junior consultants and project team members.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and participating in pitches.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop new services, tools, and intellectual property.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and performance of the consulting practice.
Key Requirements:
- B.Sc. /B.Eng./HND in Engineering / Quantity Surveying
- 20 years of experience in management consulting, professional services, or a relevant industry.
- AACE Certification is required.
- Proven track record of delivering complex consulting projects and leading client engagements.
- Deep expertise in at least one consulting domain (e.g., strategy, operations, digital transformation, sustainability, finance, or human capital).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and mentor others.
- Willingness to travel based on client/project needs.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working across multiple industries or sectors.
- Familiarity with digital tools, analytics platforms, or project management software.
- Prior experience in scaling consulting services or building practices.
