Presales Engineer
Job Overview:
- The Presales Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and solutions for IT and physical security projects. This individual will collaborate closely with end users, systems integrators and specifiers to understand their requirements, design tailored solutions and ensure the successful commissioning of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Consultation: Engage with potential clients to understand their operational requirements and provide technical recommendations and solutions to support sales efforts.
- Solution Design: Develop and propose comprehensive IT and security and safety systems solutions, including network security, video surveillance systems, access control systems, physical security systems, fire alarm systems and other related technologies.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our solutions to clients.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of detailed proposals, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and implementation plans.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their technical queries and concerns throughout the sales process.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and procurement to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Technical Training: Provide design training and support to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Security Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role, specifically within IT and security systems domains.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, video surveillance systems, access control systems, fire alarm systems and other IT, security and safety systems technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in using design and modeling tools to create technical proposals and solutions.
- Experience in using design software like AutoCAD is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, PSP) is an advantage.
