Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and produce a wide variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts to meet customer demand.
  • Innovate and introduce new pastry items to attract and retain customers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality control standards in the bakery section.
  • Manage inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Supervise, train, and coordinate the bakery team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with management to drive sales, reduce wastage, and maintain profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly bakery environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role within a bakery, hotel, or supermarket environment.
  • Minimum of B.Sc, HND, or relevant professional certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and food safety standards.
  • Creativity in developing new pastry recipes and improving existing offerings.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage production schedules, and maintain consistent quality.
