Summary of Position
- We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and dessert creation, with a keen eye for detail and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods that delight our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake high-quality pastries, desserts, and bread items.
- Create new and innovative dessert recipes in line with current trends.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate menu offerings.
- Approving all prepared pastries that leave the kitchen
- Rectifying arising problems or complaints related to pastries.
- Skills needed for this position:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation.
- Creativity in pastry preparation and presentation.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Professional culinary certification is an advantage.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
