Summary of Position

  • We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and dessert creation, with a keen eye for detail and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods that delight our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake high-quality pastries, desserts, and bread items.
  • Create new and innovative dessert recipes in line with current trends.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate menu offerings.
  • Approving all prepared pastries that leave the kitchen
  • Rectifying arising problems or complaints related to pastries.
  • Skills needed for this position:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation.
  • Creativity in pastry preparation and presentation.
  • Attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Professional culinary certification is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
