Operations Officer

Job Descriiption

  • The Operations Officer will support the smooth day-to-day running of the company’s operations, ensuring efficient processes, compliance with internal policies, and delivery of high-quality service to clients.
  • This role involves overseeing transaction processing, vendor management, process optimization, and ensuring alignment between operational activities and the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency & Process Management:

  • Support daily operational activities across departments to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor financial and transactional processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Customer Experience, Compliance, and Finance) to streamline workflows.

Transaction & Reconciliation Management:

  • Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper reconciliation with system records.
  • Work closely with the finance team to track payments, settlements, and disbursements.
  • Escalate transaction discrepancies promptly and ensure resolution within defined timelines.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all operational activities adhere to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support audit processes.
  • Monitor operational risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.

Vendor & Partner Coordination:

  • Support vendor onboarding, relationship management, and performance monitoring.
  • Liaise with external partners, payment processors, and service providers to ensure service quality and uptime.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Prepare periodic operational reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Track KPIs related to efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in operations within the fintech, banking, or financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and operations-related software or CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of payment systems, digital banking, or transaction processing is an advantage.
