Operations Officer
Job Descriiption
- The Operations Officer will support the smooth day-to-day running of the company’s operations, ensuring efficient processes, compliance with internal policies, and delivery of high-quality service to clients.
- This role involves overseeing transaction processing, vendor management, process optimization, and ensuring alignment between operational activities and the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency & Process Management:
- Support daily operational activities across departments to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor financial and transactional processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Customer Experience, Compliance, and Finance) to streamline workflows.
Transaction & Reconciliation Management:
- Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper reconciliation with system records.
- Work closely with the finance team to track payments, settlements, and disbursements.
- Escalate transaction discrepancies promptly and ensure resolution within defined timelines.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and support audit processes.
- Monitor operational risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
Vendor & Partner Coordination:
- Support vendor onboarding, relationship management, and performance monitoring.
- Liaise with external partners, payment processors, and service providers to ensure service quality and uptime.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Prepare periodic operational reports and dashboards for management review.
- Track KPIs related to efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in operations within the fintech, banking, or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and operations-related software or CRM tools.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of payment systems, digital banking, or transaction processing is an advantage.
