Operations Officer
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):
- Coordinate daily site operations under the direction of the Operations or Project Manager.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of resources (labor, materials, equipment) for ongoing construction activities.
- Monitor progress at project sites and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support the procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth workflows.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, daily logs, and progress updates.
- Conduct routine site checks to track productivity and resolve minor site issues promptly.
- Ensure proper implementation of HSE policies and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Report any delays, challenges, or non-compliance issues to the Operations or Project Manager.
- Assist in tracking resource usage and optimizing site logistics to reduce waste and downtime.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or Construction Management.
- 3–5 years of experience in construction operations or site coordination.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, procedures, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and construction teams.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with project management tools.
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to varying project conditions
