Facility Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Operations:
- Oversee daily maintenance of school buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Schedule and supervise regular inspections, repairs, and servicing of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure the school complies with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and fire safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety drills (fire, earthquake, lockdown) in coordination with school leadership.
- Maintain up-to-date records of inspections, maintenance, and incident reports.
Staff & Contractor Supervision:
- Manage custodial, maintenance, and security staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including procurement of equipment, supplies, and maintenance services.
- Monitor and control facility-related expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Infrastructure Projects:
- Plan and oversee renovations, construction, and refurbishment projects.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors for major works.
Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives:
- Implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Promote recycling, water conservation, and efficient use of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience managing teams and budgets.

- Proficiency with facility management software or systems (e.g., CMMS).
