- The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise-grade networks to support organizational growth. Requires 3+ years of experience managing network infrastructure and ensuring high availability of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN infrastructures.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
- Implement network security (firewall rules, IDS/IPS, segmentation).
- Monitor and analyze network performance to ensure 99.9%+ uptime.
- Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery simulations.
- Maintain network documentation and policies.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and threats.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years in network engineering or administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS.
- Experience with Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet, Juniper devices.
- Expertise in VPNs (IPsec, SSL) and network security tools.
- Familiar with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG, etc.).
- Cloud networking knowledge (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA – Required or in progress.
- CompTIA Network+ – Strong foundational credential.
- CCNP – Highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Analytical and critical thinking for complex issue resolution.
- Calm under pressure during outages and incidents.
- Highly organized and process-driven with good documentation skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization.
