Requirements

• Application must be a holder of a Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 12 years of teaching experience at the University level, plus 3 years as a Reader in the University.  
• Considerable background of research with a sufficient number (not less than 15) of scholarly publications in reputable journals and (not less than 10) edited conference proceedings in an acknowledged authority in the area of specialisation.  
• Not less than 75% of the publications shall be in an application area of specialisation.  
• Postgraduate capacity development through professional and academic activities.  
• Adequate postgraduate supervision for a Ph.D. And Master’s levels.  
• Sound academic leadership and mentorship.  
• Administrative skills, ability and experience.  
• Favourable external assessment.  
• A professor must be currently a leader in the University or waiting external assessment for the position.  
• An applicant for the position of professor must be currently a leader in the University or waiting external assessment for the position.

• A holder of Master degree who has been a lecturer II with at least 3 years University teaching experience and with at least 5 scholarly publications in reputable journals and 2 edited conference proceedings.
