Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to support the design, coordination, and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil works for commercial, industrial, and high-end furniture-manufacturing projects.
- The role requires a solid foundation in construction practices, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering an exquisite finish on every deliverable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review MEP and civil works drawings, schematics, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM software.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress, verify compliance with design intent, and ensure that finishes meet the project’s aesthetic and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, furniture-factory teams, and civil contractors to integrate MEP and civil components seamlessly into high-quality finishes (e.g., concealed wiring, flush-mounted fixtures, site drainage).
- Perform calculations for load-bearing, ventilation, pipe sizing, electrical circuits, and site grading, paying particular attention to noise reduction and visual cleanliness.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs, ensuring that all documentation reflects the exact finish specifications.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and flagging any issues that may affect the finish or schedule.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of MEP systems, documenting results and ensuring that performance aligns with the intended high-finish design.
- Collaborate with civil teams on site layout, drainage design, and infrastructure connections.
- Maintain organized records of all engineering data, as-built drawings, and correspondence in accordance with company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction projects or furniture-manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IMC, IPC, local building regulations).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on high-end residential or boutique commercial projects where finish quality is critical.
- Exposure to factory automation, material handling, or woodworking machinery within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient systems.
