We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of building systems, equipment, and grounds through preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lifts, and mechanical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks according to established protocols
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they become problems

Repair and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure issues
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when specialized services are required
• Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and building codes

Facility Management

• Maintain grounds, including landscaping, parking areas, and exterior building maintenance
• Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and security standards are met
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts
• Assist with setup and breakdown for events and special activities

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain safety equipment
• Report safety hazards and participate in safety training programs

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• SSCE, Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certification is an added advantage
• Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities
• Experience with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy items
• Comfortable working at reasonable heights

Work Schedule

Full-time position with standard business hours. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required for emergency situations or special projects.
