Job description

• Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and allocation of vehicles.
• Plan and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance for all company vehicles to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, fuel usage, repairs, licenses, insurance, and inspection schedules.
• Supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
• Monitor and analyze fuel consumption and develop strategies for fuel efficiency and cost reduction.
• Handle vehicle breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs when necessary.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Recommend replacement or procurement of vehicles based on performance, age, and repair costs.
• Implement fleet tracking systems and generate reports on usage, condition, and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with external service providers, mechanics, and vendors for quality vehicle services and parts procurement.
• Monitor vehicle inspection and documentation compliance (e.g., roadworthiness, registration, insurance).
