Job Overview

• VIP Express Tourism Ltd is seeking a skilled and strategic Head of IT to lead our organisation’s technology operations, drive digital transformation, and ensure the security, reliability and efficiency of all IT systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, excellent project management capabilities and a demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the organisation’s overall IT strategy.
• oversee and manage all IT operations, infrastructure and systems across all office locations.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
• manage IT projects, including upgrades, integrations and new technology rollout.
• Maintain and optimise hardware, software, network systems and IT assets.
• Coordinate with departmental heads to identify technology needs and opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment.
• Prepare and manage the IT department budget.
• Ensure timely resolution of IT support issues and maintain SLA standards.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in IT, with a least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructures, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
• Proven experience leading IT teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication and strategic thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional certifications is an added advantage.
