About the Role
- The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as transportation, warehousing, and distribution for the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to support operational needs.
- Plan and coordinate transportation routes and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, transport providers, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee storage and distribution operations, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervise vehicle dispatch, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and driver assignments.
- Ensure fleet safety, compliance with local regulations, and timely servicing.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of goods.
- Verify goods received against purchase orders and quality standards.
- Maintain records of logistics operations and prepare periodic reports.
- Support audits and inspections related to logistics functions.
- Supervise logistics officers, drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience with warehousing, transport coordination, and fleet management.
- Familiarity with construction logistics is highly preferred.
