You will lead the charge in driving perception, generating buzz, and making NewGlobe’s work impossible to ignore. You’ll be embedded in a government education program, part content creator, part campaigner, part strategist.
  • You’ll be on the ground, in the classrooms, with teachers, learners, communities and the government leaders who are transforming public education, turning their stories into powerful digital narratives that spark conversation, spread across platforms, and capture hearts and minds.
  • Your goal: to make the Programme and the work NewGlobe does go viral for all the right reasons.

What You Will Do
Own the Mission:

  • Build and execute a digital content strategy that makes JigawaUNITE and the work NewGlobe is doing to support the programme known, seen, and heard locally, nationally, and globally.
  • Shine a spotlight on the transformation happening on the ground in your programme, led by local educators, communities, and government leaders.
  • Drive visibility and perception by making programme impact stories viral, leveraging emotion, community, and creativity.
  • Act like a digital warrior: relentless, proactive, and mission-first.

Field Storytelling (50% Field Work):

  • Regularly go to schools, communities, government offices and meetings to capture raw, human-centered stories through video, photography, and interviews.
  • Conduct and edit compelling interviews with students, teachers, parents, government officials and community leaders to showcase the real-world impact of our work.
  • Ensure all visuals and messaging reflect the aspirations of the programme and local context.

Content Execution & Distribution:

  • Develop programme-specific digital content calendars and execute campaigns across platforms: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with the central team to align on voice, style, and global priorities while adapting them locally.
  • Ensure the right people see the right stories first, especially government stakeholders and media influencers.

Performance Tracking & Strategy Evolution:

  • Measure what matters: track digital reach, engagement, virality, and reactions, across platforms and informal networks.
  • Adjust strategy and content based on what resonates. Weekly reporting will focus on tangible impact, not just impressions.
  • Always ask: “Did this move hearts? Did this move minds?”

Influence & Community Engagement:

  • Build a grassroots digital movement by cultivating local influencers and digital ambassadors.
  • Use WhatsApp as a key storytelling and advocacy tool to engage government officials,  parents, community leaders, and local champions.
  • Embed within local networks to spark organic content sharing and drive trust in the programme.

Programme Alignment & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with programme leadership to stay ahead of milestones, align on communications priorities, and identify strategic story moments.
  • Be present in weekly syncs and planning meetings to anticipate content opportunities.

What You Should Have
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, and digital storytelling, preferably within education, public service, or social impact sectors, with a proven portfolio

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging narratives and tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok) and best practices for each.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
  • Experience with WhatsApp as a communication tool and managing internal and external communication platforms.
  • Experience in community engagement and stakeholder management, with a focus on leveraging social media for grassroots movements.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving campaign goals.
  • Analytical skills to track, measure, and report on content performance, including engagement metrics, traffic, and conversions, and to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Proactive and Creative

  • Ability to come up with new ideas and take ownership of content creation while being flexible and responsive to evolving project needs.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring all content is of the highest quality, aligned with the organization’s goals, and adheres to NewGlobe’s standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to the needs of the organization.

  • Love for collaboration and working with driven stakeholders, including presenting work with confidence when interacting with business owners and users
  • Openness and eagerness for learning new paradigms and practices
  • Passion for NewGlobe’s vision of democratising the right for all children to succeed.
