Responsibilities

  • Drive the expansion of the company’s global network and overall business growth.
  • Strive to exceed current sales targets and enhance revenue generation.
  • Implement customer-centric and compliant business strategies to meet short-, medium-, and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to strengthen the sales team, set competitive sales goals, and boost revenue.
  • Identify, monitor, and assess potential risks related to operations, safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Track retention rates of existing global partners, identify non-transacting partners, and escalate findings to the COO and CCO.
  • Increase and monitor the growth of the new customer base.
  • Ensure global partners adhere to service-level agreements (SLAs) covering service quality, transit times, communication standards, and accurate documentation.
  • Optimize and manage costs tied to global partnerships, including agent commissions, carrier rates, handling fees, and partner-related operational expenses.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and performance using key metrics such as Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) to gauge client sentiment.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory authorities, safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with the CCO and COO to plan and develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies for operational functions.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./B. Tech/HND in a relative discipline.
  • A higher degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role in freight and forwarding industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Job Summary

  • The Sales & Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth across alldivisions.Â
  • This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the heavy equipment rental and construction industries, capable of identifying new market opportunities and bringing them in as business, and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the heavy equipment rental and construction sectors
  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across all service offerings
  • Client Acquisition & Retention: Identify potential clients, initiate contact, and build lasting relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns that effectively promote our services
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our capabilities and value propositions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and project management, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 – 4 years proven experience in sales and marketing roles within the heavy equipment rental, construction, or related industries.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic responses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

To excel in this role, the preferred candidate will require;

  • Knowledge of the Nigerian construction and equipment rental market
  • Experience in managing marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
