Accounting Officer

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, examining, and analysing accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Assist in preparing of final accounts on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis.
  • Assist in computing taxes owed and prepare tax returns, PAYE, VAT, WHT, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
  • Assist in computing and Remitting Statutory deductions such as NSITF, Pension and etc in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Appraise, evaluate, and take inventory of company assets while maintaining an asset register.
  • Recording, Reconcile, and Post Petty cash and Fuel imprest.
  • Reconciliation of payments and receipts
  • Confirmation of customer deposits and Issuance of receipts
  • Manage all accounting transaction.
  • Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
  • Auditing financial information
  • Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements.
  • Any other related tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years post NYSC experience in a relevant accounting role.
  • Experience using practical and hands-on Excel. Experience with SAGE is an added advantage.
  • Must be analytical, pay attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Method of Application

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring production process and ensure compliance with set schedule.
  • Assisting the Lead Engineer with automation and electrical design and maintenance tasks.
  • Trouble shooting of control panel.
  • Working on PLC related problems.
  • Working on PLC programming.
  • Design and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments.
  • Designing and programming of new processes as they arise and required.
  • Working together in a team to achieve daily targets.
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
  • Undertake any other related tasks as may be required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, production and QC—to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  • At least 5 years working experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in electrical power systems, control panels, automation, and industrial instrumentation.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, variable speed drives (VSDs), and control logic.
  • Good communication, and technical reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
