We are seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to lead the end-to-end sourcing of raw materials for our industrial and household product lines. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless supply of high-quality materials while navigating global supply chain complexities and local economic fluctuations. Your goal is to optimize spend, mitigate supplier risk, and ensure that our manufacturing plants never face downtime due to stockouts.

Job Details

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and vet global and local suppliers for key raw materials
  • Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to protect margins against inflation and forex volatility.
  • Inventory Planning: Collaborate with the Production, Demand Planning and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal safety stock levels.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate long-term Supply Agreements, SLAs, and credit terms with international and local vendors.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure all raw materials meet regulatory standards (NAFDAC, SON) and internal quality specifications.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure reliability.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or any related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 – 7years of relevant experience in industrial chemical , Food grade chemical , pharmaceutical Chemicals , and food raw materials manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Understanding of chemical material specifications, handling, and storage protocols.
