Description

• We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will assist in developing architectural designs, preparing drawings, and supporting project execution from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing architectural designs, drawings, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software.
• Support senior architects in developing project concepts, schematic designs, and detailed working drawings.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements, monitor progress, and ensure design specifications are implemented.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure design integration.
• Participate in design presentations and client meetings, preparing renderings, models, and documentation as needed.
• Research materials, building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques.
• Assist in preparing bills of quantities, tender documents, and project schedules when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawings.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and new architectural technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
• 3 – 5 years of professional experience in an architectural or construction firm.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of construction detailing, structural systems, and building codes.
• Strong creativity and visualization skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Membership or student membership in ARCON or NIArchitects is an advantage.
