Sales Executive

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to support the sales and business development of Protective and Marine Coatings.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and providing technical support across the assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of protective and marine coatings across the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and project leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Provide basic technical support and coordinate with internal teams for trials and resolution of client issues.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, and customer feedback to guide sales strategy.
  • Ensure sales transactions follow company pricing and policy guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and customer activity updates.
  • Meet assigned sales targets and support dealer/distributor growth in the assigned areas.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / B.Tech Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (AMPP Level 1/2 is a plus).
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in selling industrial paints, coatings, or chemicals.
  • Good knowledge of various liquid coatings, their specifications, and applications.
  • Experience in B2B marketing and providing basic technical service.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

Method of Application

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Support in generating leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Shadow senior sales executives during client meetings and presentations to learn sales techniques.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and sales reports under supervision.
  • Follow up with clients for feedback, orders, and payment collections.
  • Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics) to support sales activities.
  • Gradually take responsibility for achieving individual sales targets as skills develop.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are implemented within the team.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong interest in building a career in sales and business development.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel and meet clients as required.
