Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

  •  Lead High Impact Sales, identifying prospective clients,offer loans, financial solutions and achieving monthly loan and Proof of Funds disbursement target.
  • Undertake credit assessment and prepare appraisal reports as per prescribed guidelines for credit facilitation and make necessary recommendation to Credit & Business Development Manager. This includes desk reviews and onsite due diligence.
  • Analyze financial data to access creditworthiness, and maintain adequate documentation of all credit cases progressed for approval.
  • Capture KYC data and financial information into the institutional Credit management system.
  • Undertake portfolio management to identify default triggers per case, assessment of loan penalties,actioning on measures to mitigate deterioration of portfolio at risk, initiating collection mechanism per policy including business recovery mechanisms.
  • Provide financial advice to clients to support their business and credit needs.
  • Prepare credit facility offer letters spelling out terms, conditions, and covenants for review by line Manager.
  • Identify, document, and share with line manager possible innovative ways of improving business processes at Credit and Business Development Department.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop proposals and effective market strategies.
  • Any other duties assigned by the line manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field, Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Previous experience in banking or finance and investment sector as a Credit officer or direct sales agent with robust knowledge of small business financing
  • Proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with outstanding reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and financial analysis tools.
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • 4-5 years experience
